Bonnie is the first Clinician and Sonographer to be on staff in the Cardiovascular Biomechanical Research Laboratory where she is using her many years of clinical ultrasound experience to enhance the teams research efforts. She most recently held the position as the Director of Vascular Laboratory Services at the Division of Vascular Surgery at Stanford University Medical Center where she was involved in patient care, teaching, and research for the past 13 years. The ICAVL accredited Stanford Vascular Laboratory was established by Bonnie and, former Chief of Vascular Surgery, Christopher Zarins, MD in 1993. Bonnie is a past President of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU) and the 2004 recipient of the SVU Leadership Award. She has been a member of SVU for over 20 years, served on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for 6 years. She was awarded the honor of Fellow of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound (FSVU) in 1999 for her pioneering efforts in the field of ultrasound evaluation of endoluminal aortic stent grafts. In 2002 she received the distinction of Advanced Practice Sonographer -Vascular (APS) by the SDMS. Bonnie has lectured extensively, both domestically and internationally and has numerous publications to her credit including book chapters, journal publications, and abstracts. |
