This one-and-one-half-day abdomen seminar is designed to prepare candidates for the ARDMS Abdomen certification exam and to provide ultrasound professionals a review of ultrasound of the abdomen. Interwoven within review materials are scanning hints and techniques. Upon completion of the course, participants should understand the anatomy and physiology of the various abdominal organs, improve their single-image recognition interpretation skills, recognize pathologies, and be able to differentiate between similar ultrasound pathological findings through clinical findings including laboratory values. An optional half-day Saturday morning session on hemodynamics and test-taking strategies is included at no additional cost and provides an additional 4 CME. Offered at all Seminars Instructor M.
