This introductory section briefly covers the incidence of congenital heart disease to give you perspective of the problem. We will then discuss the very basic points of the normal cardiac cycle.

Dr Humes discusses the basic pediatric echo examination with emphasis on particular views which are somewhat unique to the pediatric examination because of better imaging and more frequent disease related issues.
