There are some procedures for which echocardiography can be a useful imaging tool. The application of echo to these procedures can vary greatly from one institution to another. We will discuss transesophageal echo, echo-guided Pericardiocentesis, some congenital cath lab interventions and the use of contrast in congenital heart disease.
