This module describes the utilization of arterial duplex imaging to detect extremity atherosclerotic disease as well as various non-atherosclerotic pathology including traumatic and iatrogenic injuries. Duplex ultrasound characteristics of extremity arteries will be reviewed focusing on grey-scale image findings, spectral Doppler waveforms and color-flow imaging attributes. The cases represent a variety of arterial pathology and some cases combine both physiologic and ultrasound findings.
